WS Asset Management's main subsidiary WS Development acquires, develops, markets, and leases commercial real estate (mostly retail space) mostly throughout New England. The company managed nearly 90 properties spanning 20 million sq. ft. of space (as of early 2016), consisting of urban buildings, lifestyle centers, power centers, community centers, and mixed-use developments. Some of its tenants include Wal-Mart, Dick's Sporting Goods, Home Depot, and other large retailers.  Subsidiary WS Capital Partners funds the firm's property acquisitions. Founded by Steve Weiner in 1981, WS looks to expand into more markets across the US.
