The action might be fake, but the business of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is very real. The company is a leading producer and promoter of wrestling matches for TV and live audiences, with about 250 live events each year, including more than 50 international matches. Its main programming includes Monday Night Raw, a top US cable program on USA Network; Friday Night SmackDown on Syfy; and WWE NXT on its website. WWE also produces about 12 live pay-per-view programs, licenses characters for merchandise, and sells videos and DVDs showcasing more than 140 wrestling stars such as Rey Mysterio, Triple H, and The Undertaker. Two-time WWE world champion Vince McMahon has nearly 90% voting control of the company.
