Willamette Valley Vineyards is a leading producer of premium varietal wines, including chardonnay, dry riesling, and pinot gris, along with its flagship pinot noir. In addition to Willamette Valley, it also makes wine under the Tualatin Estates and Griffin Creek labels. The winemaker owns, leases, or contracts almost 800 acres of vineyards and produced about 121,000 cases of wine during 2008. Its wines are sold in Oregon through its Bacchus Fine Wines distribution operation and are available elsewhere in the US through other distributors and brokers. Founder and CEO Jim Bernau owns 12% of the company.
