Versum Materials makes the chemicals and components that go into semiconductors, displays, LED technology, and micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS). It operates through two segments: Materials; and Delivery Systems and Services (DS&S). Materials, its largest segment, makes specialty chemicals, materials, and gases used to make semiconductors and used in the semiconductor manufacturing process. DS&S makes, installs, and operates chemical and gas delivery and distribution systems to deliver its gases and chemicals directly to its customers’ manufacturing tools.
