Vectren intends to inundate Indiana and Ohio with energy. Through its utility subsidiaries: Indiana Gas Company (or Vecten North), Southern Indiana Gas and Electric (SIGECO or Vectren South), and Vectren Energy Delivery of Ohio (VEDO) -- the company distributes natural gas to more than 1 million business and residential customers in the two states. It also distributes electricity to about 144,400 customers and almost 1,300 MW of primarily coal-fired generating capacity in Indiana. Vectren's other nonregulated businesses include management services, and utility infrastructure construction.
