Valero Energy Partners teams up with Valero Energy to bring energy, in the form of petroleum products, to the world. The company was formed to serve as the transportation and logistics arm of major independent US refiner Valero Energy. It makes money from fees on pipeline transportation and storage of crude oil and refined petroleum along the US Gulf Coast and eastern US. The partnership serves Valero's two plants in Port Arthur and Sunray, Texas, and one in Memphis. As a partnership, Valero Energy Partners is exempt from paying corporate income tax. It went public in 2013. In 2016 the company bought the McKee Terminal Services Business from Valero Energy for $240 million.
