Tremor Video wants to leave traditional advertising formats shaking in their boots. The company is focused on online video advertising. It doesn’t make video ads; its VideoHub platform analyzes them to find the best ad for the best video. For example, if someone is about to watch a video for a car, then a car ad plays. Its clients’ video ads are shown on a network of more than 500 websites (including A&E and Viacom properties) and mobile apps that can be watched from computers, mobile devices, and connected TVs. Tremor Video counts almost 400 customers, mostly auto companies and consumer products makers. Primarily it works for the ad agencies hired by the advertisers. Founded in 2005, Tremor Video went public in mid-2013.
