As coast to coast as it name implies, Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corporation (commonly known as Transco) is an interstate natural gas transmission company. Transco operates about 9,800 miles of natural gas pipeline extending from the Gulf of Mexico to New York. The company also operates 45 gas compressor stations, four underground storage fields, and a liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage facility. In 2011 Transco had access to 200 billion cu. ft. of natural gas. Its customers include natural gas distributors such as Public Service Enterprise Group, National Grid USA, and Piedmont Natural Gas Company. Transco is a subsidiary of Williams Partners, itself a subsidiary of The Williams Companies.
