WhiteWave Foods rides a wave of dietary changes as consumers seek alternatives to conventional foods. The company is best known for its refrigerated Silk soymilk in the US, and Alpro brand soy products in Europe. WhiteWave also produces organic dairy products under the Horizon Organic label and dairy related foods, including International Delight coffee creamers and LAND O'LAKES-branded creamers and dairy dessert toppings (licensed from dairy co-op Land O'Lakes). WhiteWave products are sold through natural food and grocery stores, as well as mass merchandisers and restaurants and food service businesses in the US and Canada, and parts of Europe. In 2016 French dairy giant Danone  agreed to acquire the company for $12.5 billion. The acquisition is expected to close by the end of the year.
