Nasdaq, Inc. (formerly NASDAQ OMX) is the leader in floorless exchanges and has challenged NYSE Euronext as the world's largest stock exchange. The group trades more than 3,700 companies worth more than $9.5 trillion in market capital, including exchange-traded funds (ETFs), equities, options, futures, derivatives, commodities, and structured products. In some locations, the company provides clearing, settlement, and depository services. International business accounts for almost 30% of Nasdaq's revenue. The group was formed in 2008 when the NASDAQ Stock Market merged with OMX, the owner of Northern Europe's largest securities marketplace.
