The Exone Company
ExOne wants to be THE one when it comes to non-traditional manufacturing. The company "prints" three-dimensional (3D) parts and materials -- literally creating a prototype or part quickly from a computer model by laying down successive layers of material to form the part. It prints in silica sand, ceramic, stainless steel, bronze, and glass. ExOne also sells 3D printing machines and makes casting molds from silica sand and ceramics from production centers in the US, Germany, and Japan. The company's key customers, Ford, BMW, Boeing, Caterpillar, and the KSB Group, operate primarily in the aerospace, automotive, heavy equipment, and oil and gas industries. ExOne formed in 2005 and went public in 2013.
