The private equity firm invests in established, family- or founder-owned companies valued at up to $150 million in its home state of Texas and elsewhere in the Sun Belt. It has led or co-led investments in more than two dozen firms since chairman George Kelly and managing partner Fred Lummis founded the company in 1990. Current portfolio holdings include stakes in ATM network operator Cardtronics and structural steel manufacturer Trinity Steel (acquired in 2008). CapStreet closed its third investment fund, worth more than $80 million, later that year.
