Throw a rock and you're bound to hit a Blackstone investment. The Blackstone Group is one of the world's largest real estate, private equity, and alternative asset managers in the world, with around $340 billion in assets under management and such notable past holdings as Michaels Stores, SeaWorld, and Crocs. The firm manages investment vehicles including private equity funds, funds of hedge funds, and real estate funds. Clients include public and corporate pensions, financial institutions, and individuals. The firm spun off its corporate advisory business as PJT Partners in late 2015. Overall,  55% of Blackstone Group's revenue came from performance fees in 2015; 40%, from management and advisory fees.
