Terraform Power, Inc.
TerraForm Power uses green (power) to generate green (money). The company owns and operates 230 solar power generations projects in 15 US states and Puerto Rico, as well as in the UK, Canada, and Chile with total capacity of more than 800 megawatts (MW). It invests in assets already contracted to supply power to utilities, businesses, and homes through long-term agreements. TerraForm plans to branch out into other forms of clean energy. Most of its solar assets were purchased from SunEdison, which has about 900 solar generation facilities in a dozen countries. SunEdison formed TerraForm and took it public in 2014. In 2017 Brookfield Asset Management offered to buy the company.
