TBC is a big wheel in tire distribution and the Big O in tire retailing. A unit of Japan's Sumitomo Corporation of America (SCOA), it's one of the largest private-brand replacement tire marketers in North America. Its TBC Private Brands and Treadways units distribute about 15 proprietary brands (including Multi-Mile, Eldorado, Sumitomo, and Harvest King) to wholesalers and retailers in the US, Canada, and Mexico. TBC has nearly 2,250 franchised, licensed and company-owned Midas shops in 13 countries, including nearly 1,500 stores in the US and Canada.
