Repsol Oil & Gas Canada (formerly Talisman Energy) wraps its arms around developing hydrocarbon projects in the Great White North. One of Canada's largest oil and gas exploration and production companies, Repsol Oil & Gas Canada is active primarily in Alberta and Saskatchewan, where it holds approximately 1.1 million net acres. In 2015 Talisman Energy was acquired by Spain-based oil giant Repsol for $8.3 billion plus debt and renamed. Repsol is looking to ramp up its drilling activities in North America, which it has made a strategic priority.
