SunLink Health Systems is hoping to shine brightly in the health care business through the management of community hospitals. Through its subsidiaries, the firm operates five community hospitals with a total of more than 280 beds in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and Missouri. Each hospital is the only acute care facility in its service area. The company also operates two nursing facilities that have a collective bed count of about 170 beds to serve the geographical areas surrounding the hospitals. SunLink also operates a home health agency and SunLink ScriptsRx, a specialty pharmacy business.
