Star Micronics America, the US branch of Japan's Star Micronics, provides point-of-sale (POS) printers, thermal card reader/writer systems, and audio components. Its dot matrix and thermal printers are used for printing receipts and other business forms. The company also sells printers for use in kiosks, as well as printer mechanisms used in applications ranging from ATMs to medical devices. Star Micronics America's audio components line includes microphones, speakers, electronic buzzers, receivers, and transducers. Star Micronics established its US subsidiary in 1976.
