It provides outsourced staffing, recruitment, billing, technology, compliance, and administration services to hospitals, group practices, ambulatory surgery centers, and other facilities. The firm employs more than 2,800 doctors and serves more than 320 facilities in some two dozen states (with concentrations in Florida, New Jersey, Texas, and California. Sheridan was acquired by AmSurg  in 2014.
