Select Bancorp (formerly New Century Bancorp) is the holding company for the aptly named Select Bank & Trust (formerly New Century Bank). The bank has about a dozen branches across North Carolina. Targeting individuals and small to midsized businesses, Select Bank & Trust offers such services as checking and savings accounts, CDs, IRAs, and loans. Its loan book largely comprises real estate loans; the remaining portfolio includes business and consumer loans. New Century Bancorp acquired Select Bancorp in 2014 and took its name.
