Restaurant Brands International Inc.
This company runs two of the most popular chains in North America. Restaurant Brands International was formed after Miami-based Burger King Worldwide and Canadian coffee and doughnut giant Tim Hortons combined forces in 2014. The new umbrella company operates the two brands independently. The deal between Burger King Worldwide and Tim Hortons resulted in the creation of one of the world’s biggest fast-food companies, with some 18,000 restaurants in 100 countries and about $23 billion in annual revenue. Restaurant Brands International's stock is now trading on the NYSE under the symbol QSR, while Burger King Worldwide and Tim Hortons stock ceased trading in Toronto and New York City.
