Pure Cycle Corporation
Struggling to survive in the barren waste without a trace of water is no longer the fate of inhabitants of the Lowry Range, thanks to Pure Cycle. The water utility has the exclusive right to provide water and wastewater services to about 24,000 acres of the Lowry Range, near Denver. Pure Cycle generates revenues from three sources: water and wastewater fees; construction fees; and monthly service fees. In 2009 it served 247 single-family water connections and 157 wastewater connections in the southeastern Denver area. It also has 60,000 acre-feet of water rights in the Arkansas River basin in Southern Colorado. In 2010 Pure Cycle acquired the 931-acre Sky Ranch Property near Denver for $7 million.
