PrimeEnergy hopes to keep the pump primed with its oil and gas exploration and production activities, which take place primarily in Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, West Virginia, and the Gulf of Mexico. The company has proved reserves of 87 billion cu. ft. of natural gas equivalent. It operates 1,500 wells and owns interests in 850 non-operating wells. Its PrimeEnergy Management unit is the managing general partner of 18 oil and gas limited partnerships and two trusts. Subsidiary Southwest Oilfield Construction provides site preparation and construction services for PrimeEnergy and third parties. CEO Charles Drimal owns 32% of the firm.
