Pinnacle West Capital is on top of power use in Arizona. It is the holding company for the state's largest electric utility, Arizona Public Service, which transmits and distributes electricity to more than 1.1 million residential, commercial, and industrial customers throughout most of the state. The power distribution utility also has 6,200 MW of regulated generating capacity and has a mix of both long-term and short-term purchased power agreements for additional capacity, including a range of agreements for the purchase of energy from renewable sources.
