When a world-weary traveler is ready to peel off the day's cares and turn in to a nice, comfy bed, Peel Hotels hopes to oblige. Peel Hotels owns, operates, and manages about 10 mid-range and luxury hotels in the UK (more than 600 rooms). Properties include the George Hotel in Oxfordshire, the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Leeds, and the the Norfolk Royale in Bournemouth. In addition to hotel rooms, the properties feature facilities for banquets, training, conferences, and other events. Executive Chairman Robert Peel, formerly chief executive at Thistle Hotels (now Guoman Hotels ), founded the company with purchase of the Bull Hotel in Peterboroughand in 1998. He shares ownership of Peel Hotels with his brother Charles.
