PDF Solutions can solve chip design and manufacturing inefficiencies. The company provides software and services that help integrated circuit makers get more working chips out of a production batch. PDF's products are used to simulate, model, and analyze the chip design and manufacturing processes. As part of the Design-to-Silicon-Yield program, PDF also receives a portion of customers' cost savings, called gain share. Four customers -- GLOBALFOUNDRIES, IBM, Toshiba, and Samsung Electronics -- collectively account for about 60% of sales. PDF Solutions gets around two-thirds of its revenues from customers located in Asia.
