Owens-Illinois (O-I) is involved in more toasts than party-goers on New Year's Eve. The world's largest maker of glass containers touts a leading market presence, with 49,000 customers in 85 countries around the world. O-I offers more than 10,000 types of glass containers, such as bottles in a wide range of shapes, sizes, and colors, used to hold beer, wine, liquor, as well as soft drinks, juice, and other beverages. It also makes glass containers for foods, such as soups, salad dressings, and dairy products, and for pharmaceuticals. Some of its products are made using recycled glass. Major customers have included such heavy hitters as Anheuser-Busch InBev, Coca-Cola, Diageo, H.J. Heinz, and Nestle.
