Osmose is a utility services provider with a background in wood preservative technologies. Through its Osmose Utilities Services unit it provides pole maintenance, inspection services, and rehabilitation services and products for electric and gas utilities. In Hawaii, utility construction unit Ikaika's services include overhead and underground utility construction and repair services, civil site work, and general masonry. Osmose also provides corrosion mitigation and engineered repairs for steel structures, structural load analysis, and a variety of turnkey infrastructure upgrading services. To raise cash, in 2014 parent Oaktree Capital sold two units of Osmose to Koppers Holdings for $460 million.
