Oil and gas activity means money for oil field support services company Newpark Resources. The company provides drilling fluid and engineering services to oil and gas drillers. Newpark Resources also supplies prefab work platforms and provides DuraBase brand composite mats used to make temporary access roads and provide related wellsite services and equipment (through its Newpark Mats & Integrated Services unit).  In 2014 the industrial services company sold its Environmental Services business, which had historically operated as Newpark Resources' third segment.
