NetMotion Wireless sets workers free. The company's mobile VPN software lets mobile workers maintain data connections as they move in and out of wireless coverage areas. NetMotion targets organizations in the communications, health care, local government, public safety and utility, and transportation sectors. Its customers include Ameren and St. Luke's Episcopal Health System. The company has partnerships with AT&T, Sprint, and Sierra Wireless. NetMotion was acquired by Clearlake Capital, a private equity firm, in 2012.
