Identifying with Japan's imperial warship Fusō, Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America (MFTA) aims to dominate in the sea of big rig businesses. A subsidiary of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation (MFTBC), as well as MFTBC's North American hub for branding operations, MFTA markets medium-duty commercial cabover trucks. Its diesels are used for dry freight, public works, landscaping, refrigerated transport, and towing; past customers include Western States Glass, Gary's Seafood, and Diligent Environmental Services. MFTA's eco-introductions tout reduced aerodynamic drag, recyclable materials in exterior components, and green interior trim. Models are sold through more than 195 dealers in the US and Canada.
