Meridian Bancorp is the holding company of East Boston Savings Bank, which provides standard deposit and lending services to individuals and businesses in the greater Boston area. The bank writes single-family, commercial, and multifamily mortgages, as well as construction and business loans and consumer loans. East Boston Savings operates about 30 branches in eastern Massachusetts. Mutual holding company Meridian Financial Services owns 59% of Meridian Bancorp.
