Manatron, Inc.
Manatron might sound like something out of a science fiction novel, but the company's software performs the down-to-earth work of automating the appraisal of real estate and streamlining the work mainly of local government entities that collect property taxes. Manatron offers a suite of Web-based software products used to perform mass appraisals of commercial, residential, and other types of property. Other applications support property tax assessment and collection, deed recording efforts, and public information access. Manatron has a dozen offices spanning the US, while an international division serves overseas clients. Owner, private equity firm Thoma Cressey Bravo, sold Manatron to Thomson Reuters in 2011.
