Mackinac Financial Corporation
Mackinac Financial Corporation is the holding company for mBank, which operates about a dozen branches in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and the northern part of the Lower Peninsula, as well as suburban Detroit. Serving local consumers and business clients, the bank provides traditional deposit products such as checking and savings accounts and CDs. Commercial real estate loans account for about three-quarters of the company's loan portfolio, which also consists of agricultural, business, construction, residential, and consumer loans. mBank offers treasury management products and services to small and midsized businesses, as well. Institutional investors own approximately half of Mackinac Financial's stock.
