Liberty Tax Service provides computerized tax preparation services through more than 3,800 offices throughout the US and in Canada. Some 2,000 franchisees operate the locations, which are known to have costumed Uncle Sams or Lady Liberties waving out front. The company's eSmart Tax product allows customers to file their taxes online. Liberty Tax Service also offers tax-preparation courses, refund loans, audit assistance, and related programs and services. The company filed to go public in 2011.
