Liberty Property Trust
There's the "Land of the Free" but no such thing as "free land" to Liberty Property Trust. The self-managed real estate investment trust (REIT) owns leases, manages, and has interests in nearly 500 industrial properties, including distribution, warehouse, light manufacturing, and research and development facilities and some 180 office buildings. The company's properties encompass some 96 million sq. ft. of space, mainly in the mid-Atlantic, southeastern, and Midwestern regions of the US, as well as the UK. The REIT also owns nearly 1,500 acres of developable land. Liberty Property has some 1,200 tenants; The Vanguard Group and GlaxoSmithKline are the two largest.
