Liberty Media Corporation
Screaming engines, cheering crowds, and burbling radios -- Liberty Media Corporation makes a lot of noise. The media, communications, and entertainment holding company owns global motorsport business Formula 1, the Atlanta Braves professional baseball team, as well as a majority stake in satellite radio service SIRIUS XM Holdings. In addition, it owns minority stakes in Charter Communications (cable service) and Live Nation Entertainment (live entertainment). Liberty Media was formerly part of a larger Liberty Media (now known as Starz), but was spun off in 2013. Liberty Media acquired global motorsport business Formula 1 from Delta Topco for $8 billion in 2017.
