Lehigh Cement Company has built a solid foundation in the cement business. One of the largest cement producers in North American, Lehigh produces ready-mix concrete, concrete pipe and block, precast concrete, portland cement, blended and specialty cements, and aggregates. Other products include pre-stressed cement products, custom-color portland and masonry cement, fly ash, and other pozzolanic materials. Lehigh operates about a dozen cement plants and has more than 40 distribution terminals in North America. It serves companies that use its products in highway, architectural, industrial, and marine applications. Founded in 1897, the company is a part of Lehigh Hanson, a subsidiary of Germany-based HeidelbergCement.
