Its die bonders and wire bonders use fine wires to connect an integrated circuit to its package leads, thereby completing the chip's electrical circuit. K&S also makes consumables for its chip assembly equipment, such as dicing blades. The company sells its products to such contractors and chip makers as Advanced Semiconductor Engineering, Amkor, Intel, Micron Technology, STMicroelectronics, and Texas Instruments. Customers in Asia account for about three-quarters of the company's sales.
