Kentucky Utilities Company Inc
Kentucky Utilities may not be as bright as the blue moon of Kentucky, but it still shines bright on those in the Bluegrass State. The company, founded in 1912, was a subsidiary of E.ON U.S.  It generates and distributes electricity to more than 485,250 industrial and residential customers in a 6,600 square mile area in Kentucky. The company's Old Dominion Power serves about 30,000 customers in five Virginia counties. Kentucky Utilities has a total generation capacity of approximately 4,570 MW.  In 2010 E.ON U.S. was acquired by PPL as that company consolidated its holdings in the region.
