Investors Real Estate Trust (IRET) is a self-advised umbrella partnership real estate investment trust (UPREIT) that invests in, develops, and maintains a portfolio of office, retail, and multifamily residential properties. IRET owns some 250 properties in the Upper Midwest, including around 100 apartment communities composing nearly 12,000 individual units, more than 50 office properties, about 25 retail properties, over 65 medical properties (including senior housing and assisted living facilities), and more than five industrial properties. More than 40% of its revenue comes from multi-family residential properties, while healthcare properties bring in nearly 30%.
