Installed Building Products (IBP) wants to insulate its customers from the elements. The company is a leading new residential insulation installer with more than 100 branches in about 45 states. IBP manages all aspects of the installation process for its customers, including direct purchases of materials from national manufacturers, to delivery, and installation. In addition to insulation, IBP installs garage doors, rain gutters, shower doors, shelving, fireplaces, locksets and hardware, and mirrors. The company's primary market is residential new home construction (about three-quarters of sales). Seeking to capitalize on the recovery in new home building, IBP went public in 2014.
