Independent Bank Group, Inc
It makes sense that a company that calls itself Independent Bank Group (IBG) would do business in a state that was once its own country. The bank holding company does business through subsidiary Independent Bank, which operates about 30 branches in Texas. The banks offer standard personal and business accounts and services including some focused on small business owners. IBG has total assets of nearly $2 billion and loans of about $1.4 billion. Most of its branches are in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with a few locations in Central Texas (Waco, Austin, San Antonio). The company traces its roots back 100 years but took its current shape in 2002; it went public in 2013.
