Targeted to consumers, ICON manufactures and sells treadmills, elliptical trainers, and other fitness equipment under the NordicTrack, HealthRider, ProForm, Image, iFit, Weslo, and Weider brands. ICON also offers commercial equipment through its FreeMotion Fitness business unit. The company makes most of its products in Utah but operates in Asia, Australia, Brazil, Europe, and Mexico. Its products are sold through major retailers, as well as through infomercials and its brands' eCommerce sites. The company was founded as a housewares importer in 1977. Bain Capital, Credit Suisse, and founders Scott Watterson and Gary Stevenson collectively own ICON.
