On the information superhighway, iPass is in the passing lane. The company provides mobile employees with remote access to their company's internal networks and data. Through agreements with more than 300 telecom carriers, ISPs, and other network service providers, its iPass Mobile Office service creates a virtual network in more than 160 countries. The network includes dial-up, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi access points. Its cloud-based Open Mobile Platform lets users connect from mobile devices over a wide range of carrier-independent networks. Customers include Hallmark, OfficeMax, and American Family Mutual Insurance. iPass gets around 60% of sales from clients in the US; another 30% comes from Europe.
