Hydrogenics' products cell themselves. The company is developing fuel cells that can deliver reliable, uninterrupted power in harsh weather conditions. Hydrogenics is extending its geographic reach and has plans for transportation and portable power applications through its development alliance with GM (which owns a stake in the company). Hydrogenics also makes industrial-grade proton-exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell automated test stations. Its Hydrogenics Test Systems unit markets the test stations under the FCATS name; it sells the systems to companies for use in fuel cell systems and materials development. Hydrogenics has decided to phase out its fuel cell test products business.
