Highlands Fuel Delivery (dba Irving Oil), the US arm of Irving Oil Limited, is engaged in the refining and distribution of oil and natural gas; it serves wholesale, commercial, and retail customers in eastern Canada, Quebec, and New England. The Irving Oil Canaport refinery in Saint John, New Brunswick, is the Western Hemisphere's first deep-water terminal, and Canada's largest refinery. It has 800 fueling locations, operations at 13 marine terminals, and a delivery fleet of tractor-trailers. It serves US retail customers via 300 convenience stores and gas stations, and also has home heating and wholesale operations in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. The company is owned by the founding Irving family.
