Harmer, the company is an auction house focused on stamps and stamp collections. The firm provides appraisal and advisory services in addition to auction services (which include promotion, transit, and insurance). H.R. Harmer boasts agents in Canada, Europe, and the US. Henry Harmer's son, Bernard D. Harmer, established the company in the US in 1940, opening a gallery in New York. International auction house network Spectrum Group International acquired the company in 2004.
