Gentiva's home care nurses provide services ranging from acute-care treatment to housekeeping for the elderly or disabled. Its hospice services are offered through more than 200 locations in 30 states. Gentiva also offers consulting services to the home care industry to help with regulatory and reimbursement issues. Gentiva also provides hospice operations through subsidiary Odyssey HealthCare. The company was acquired by Kindred Healthcare in a $1.8 billion transaction in early 2015.
