G&K Services finds money in uniforms. The company is the third-largest uniform rental agency (behind #1 Cintas and #2 ARAMARK). G&K makes and supplies uniforms for about 170,000 customers in the automotive, manufacturing, hospitality, and technology industries, among others, from about 165 locations in the US, Canada, Ireland, and the Dominican Republic. Along with rentals and sales, the company provides cleaning, repair, and replacement services for all of its uniforms. G&K also carries clean room garments used by the semiconductor industry. In addition, the company offers facility services, providing restroom supplies and renting items such as dust mops, floor mats, and towels. G&K was founded in 1902. In 2016 Cintas agreed to acquire the company for $2.2 billion, including debt.
